Please join us for:
Snap Shop: Modular Accessory Workshop

with Natalie Purschwitz
of the Makeshift project.

Date: Saturday, April 3
Time: 1-5pm
Location: The Pavilion (Langara College front lawn, 100 West 49th Ave)

Snaps are miraculous! Join artist Natalie Purschwitz and make something fun and functional using snaps. Natalie says: “Not only are they the ultimate fastener, they are extenders, create pivot points, make things removable and of course, are cute and round. Now is your chance to snap together your world. Use provided materials to make a bag or a belt or an apron - or something far less conventional if you prefer. Or bring something useless and turn it into something useful! Maybe you have an ugly belt and a lonely change purse – bring them together to make a fabulous tool belt! Add a pocket to a hat! Make a sausage-link belt! The possibilities are literally endless.”

Fee: $10.00, payable by cash only at the door.
Enrollment is limited to 8 persons, and will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.
To register: e-mail Natalie Purschwitz at:
info@huntandgather.ca
subject heading ‘Workshop’ to enroll.

Participants will need to bring:
- things to add to or alter
- strange objects or materials that you think could get snapped
- sharp/fabric scissors if you have them
